Rodents - Rodent Facts

Rodents, Rodentia, comprise 40% of the order of mammals and are found in prolific numbers across the United States.  Common rodents include mice, voles and rats.  Primarily nocturnal, rodents rely on their keen sense of hearing and smell to track down food and avoid predators.  In addition to causing structural damage within a home, rodents spread disease through their parasites and their feces.  Rodents can cause both viral and bacterial diseases.  Even breathing dust from dried mouse excrement has been linked to hantavirus
